Troy Lambert

Sometime ago I met a rather entertaining chap on face book. His name is Troy Lambert.  The guy made me laugh out loud with his salty one liners as he promoted his books. REDEMPTION, TEMPTATION AND SATANARIUM.

The books intrigued me enough to download the first two. I was drawn into the tales of Samuel Elijah Johnson. I was sucked in immediately to the grittiness of the tales. This something completely different from anything I had read to date and I was loving it.

I love hosting other writers as I did for our FANTASTIC BLOG HOPS so I decided Troy would be an ideal guest for KARENWRITESMURDER.

Let’s find out what makes Troy tick.

Troy began his writing life at a very young age, penning the as yet unpublished George and the Giant Castle at age six. He grew up in Southern Idaho, and after many adventures including a short stint in the US Army and a diverse education, Troy returned to Idaho, and currently resides in Boise.

Troy works as a freelance writer and researcher including for the Wallace District Mining museum, and also edits for Tirgearr Publishing and others on a freelance basis. He truly loves to write dark, psychological thrillers. His work includes Broken Bones, a collection of his short stories, Redemption The first in the Samuel Elijah Johnson Series, and his new novel, Temptation, the sequel to Redemption, along with the horror Satanarium, co-authored with Poppet, a brilliant author from South Africa and published by Wild Wolf Publishing.

Troy lives with his wife of twelve years, two of his five children and two very talented dogs. He is a skier, cyclist, hiker, fisherman, hunter, and a terrible beginning golfer.

Broken Bones: Broken Bones is a collection of 19 short stories that will both horrify and fascinate you by taking you to dark worlds both familiar and unfamiliar. You will be led on journeys with characters that come alive and scenes that draw you in. You will not be the same person when you come out the other side.

Redemption: What do prison and church have in common? In both places you can learn of your need for redemption. You can even determine to right the wrongs you have done: you can determine to redeem yourself. However, true Redemption is not found inside the walls of a church or a prison. Sometimes you have to go further and do more to find it than you ever imagined.

Redemption is a dark psychological thriller that tells the story of an ex-con turned attorney, an insane man with a secret addiction, and a marriage spoiled by poor choices.

Samuel Elijah Johnson seeks to overcome his past by educating himself in prison. He graduates law school but has no clue what to do next until a fellow prisoner plants an idea in his mind.

Arthur Creed was raised in a strict evangelical church by militantly religious parents. He hides a secret addiction and a secret insanity. His sins come face to face with the rules ingrained into his memory by his parents.

Randy Peterson wants desperately to do the right thing, to be the kind of hero he feels his family deserves. He especially wants to convince his wife’s parents that he’s “good enough” for their daughter.

Things spin out of control. Their worlds all collide with a monumental crash. In the end, can any of them find Redemption?

Temptation: Samuel Elijah Johnson worked hard in prison to earn his law degree. He got out and started representing clients at parole hearings with surprising results: he never lost. Earning a reputation as an up and comer with a great deal of respect for the truth, now he is faced with Temptation: is it time to take the next step and become a true defense attorney? Will he forsake his values for more money and notoriety?
An evil mastermind, a team of car thieves, and a tangled web of deception all conspire to lead him down a new and dangerous path. Will he give in to Temptation or stay the noble course?
In the sequel to Redemption, Sam, Ruth, Peter, and the gang are back to face the new challenges that come with living and moving forward. Grab this thriller today. You won’t believe where it takes you next!

Satanarium: Preacher John is ready to beat the devil out of you. In his Satanarium he strives to deliver you from evil. This is a war against Satan, one he doesn’t intend to lose. Behind the scenes of humdrum monotony is the harsh reality of religion, up close and personal with the God of the Old Testament. He claims to be merciful, but that remains to be seen.

This is a visceral, violent, and vivid journey inside the halls of the Satanarium. No dirty angel leaves unscathed. No one leaves, ever. Prepare for terror!

I am a writer, blogger and radio host. I love to read and my love of books has lead me down this path. People tell me I write like Janet Evanovich. I take that as a compliment as I love her Plum books. I feel like Stephanie and Laura could be best friends.
